Sport and Event Massage

Sport Massage

Massage for athletes and performing artists such as musicians or dancers assists in reducing muscular dysfunction and increasing circulation and relaxation.

  • Pre Event - Pre-event massage warms up the muscle and prepares the body for activity. Massage last from 10 - 15 minutes is performed without lubrication.
  • Inter Event - This allows the individual to rest his or her entire system while the massage mimics muscular activity during interludes between performances.
  • Post Event - Post-event massage assists in cooling down the system and minimizing swelling and soreness. Post-event massage may reduce the recuperation time following stressful activity. Therapeutic lubricants may be applied at this point.*
