Integrative Massage

The purpose of this practice is to integrate massage into everyday wellness for medical clients. Massage can be cusomized to provide a therapeutic benefit for the individual's condition and needs and takes the health of the client into consideration.

 

Massage can generally be defined as the manipulation of soft tissue, but it can also be simple touch with a therapeutic presence. Even the most frail and fragile individual can benefit from the healing qualities of human touch.

 

Integrative massage is currently done only in an institutional setting.

Individuals experiencing these conditions and illnesses can have a quality massage for either recovery assistance or symptom management:

  • cancer
  • multiple sclerosis
  • ALS
  • Parkinson's disease
  • diabetes
  • fibromyalgia
  • end of life/palliative care

Though massage is considered a safe practice, it may be contraindicated for certain conditions. Please see your physician for approval before receving massage services if you are experiencing any of the above conditions.
